A Note From Donna
Dear Friend,
My name is Donna, and it’s my pleasure and privilege to serve you as the Director of Women in Ministry here at Cornerstone. There are a few things you should know about me:
I’m a pilgrim—I’m on the great journey of faith that began when I opened the door of my heart to Jesus many years ago. Some days I grow weary of the long walk home to the Celestial City and need encouragement. How about you?
I’m a paradox— Like the Apostle Paul, I continually find myself doing the things I don’t want to do, and not doing the things I do want to do. Ugh! I hate that!! How about you?
I’m a procrastinator—I regularly leave important things undone and then work under the inspiration of perspiration. My priorities are often upside down and backwards. My lack of discipline continually frustrates me! How about you?
I’m perplexed—Sometimes God’s ways don’t make sense to me and I ask “Why?” How about you?
I’m a pastor’s wife— but hold the pedestal, please! I’m only a vessel of clay…and clay breaks to pieces when it falls! I’m just an extremely ordinary recovering sinner who daily needs to lap up the living water of God’s love like a thirsty dog on a hot afternoon. How about you?
I’m persuaded—nothing can separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord! I know it. I believe it. I have experienced it. How about you?
I’m purpose-driven—it is my joy and ambition to know Christ more, and to make Him known to my family, my circle of friends, my community, and my world. How about you?
No matter your age or life stage, no matter where you are in your faith walk, I’ll bet there’s something in that list we share in common. That’s why we need to experience community together, to build each other up, to spur one another on in love and good deeds, and to help each other attain to maturity in Christ. And that’s what Women in Ministry at Cornerstone is all about.
Please take full advantage of the spiritual growth resources and relationship building opportunities Women in Ministry provides for you! I look forward to sojourning together and growing with you in the knowledge and grace of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
