Manipulation, Deception and Confusion. To press the point of the typical bait-and-switch techniques employed during the wicked, dehumanizing enslavement of millions of teenage girls, women and children worldwide, attendees were led to believe that this outing would be an upbeat occasion. | A New Understanding. After listening to a speaker describe the effort being made on behalf of those who escape slavery, followed by a lunch discussion and an activity, the women felt encouraged about the hope and future that God provides for these unfortunate victims -- it is the exchange of beauty for ashes that God promises in Isaiah 61:3. Each woman left with an increased understanding about the tragedy of global slavery and human trafficking and the efforts being made to abolish this evil practice and reclaim the lives of women, children and men. |
