Senior Caring Ministries & Caring Ministries have joined together to  provide a supportive Health Ministries program.

There is an integral relationship between our faith and our health and not just in the crises of life!! Positive faith can have a profound impact on our day-to-day health.
 
A Health Ministries Team member helps to bring our health and faith together, allowing Cornerstone members to share spiritual questions, concerns and doubts with a professional.  HMT members will be equipped to counsel and advocate for members of the congregation when they find themselves overwhelmed by medical information & decisions.  They are not substitutes for the pastors, but a group of spirit-centered resource people who will help our members focus on their well-being.
 
HMT members will not be able to provide "hands-on" nursing care, but will be able to help research the options that may be available.  They will be licensed to provide well-being and crisis resolution through referral; and will seek to help the people they serve gain access to needed community services.

• Christian nurses helping members to draw on spiritual resources,including prayer.
• Liaison persons working with the medical community and social agencies.
• Teachers to train volunteers to build networks of support.
• Health Counselors promoting health & wholeness, listening & encouraging.
• Advocates helping to navigate through the healthcare maze.
• Interpreters assisting with understanding of diagnoses, lab results and medications.
• Caring Professionals who can help access a doctor when help is needed and, when given permission to do so, explain concerns and situations to the doctor.
